This morning we held our End of Year Mass in the school hall which the Year 6 pupils helped to organise.  It was a great pleasure to hear their thoughts on what they have learnt and enjoyed during their time at St Margaret’s. Once again we all wish them every success and joy at their secondary schools. Don’t forget to let us know how you are getting on and do come back and visit us.

 

 

The children in Yr 6 had a fantastic time this week on their trip to Broadstone Warren.  Also earlier in the week our little band of drummers with their teacher entertained us at an assembly. Well done to everyone.

 

 

The children in Yrs 1 and 2 had an ice-cream party on Wednesday afternoon as they said thank you to Mrs Emma Thomas who is joining the UKS2 team from September. We also wished Mrs Novelli well and gave her cards and flowers this week as she begins her maternity leave. We look forward to hearing good news in the Autumn.

 

 

FLAT RACES

 

We were delighted to be able to celebrate sporting achievement and run our flat races this week (postponed from Sports Day). Well done.

 

 

BRAISWICK photographers retook the photos of Yr6, Reception class and sports teams. The new photos have been delivered and are available to purchase now or in September at £10 each (£8.50 sports teams).

 

 

MUSICAL INSTRUMENT tuition will be starting the week beginning 7 September.

 

 

SCHOOL CLUBS

 

All lunchtime and after school activities will start the week commencing 14 September – details next term.

 

 

SWIMMING

 

From Thursday 17 September, pupils in Yr4 and Yr6 will have swimming lessons on Thursdays until Christmas – in all 12 lessons. The cost of transport and instruction has been kept to a minimum and remains at £3.25 per session.

 

 

SCHOOL LUNCHES

 

Charges for school lunches for the Autumn are £1.95 per day.:

 

September   =   £39.00                        October       =   £33.15

 

Payment is due on or before the 3 September - all cheques payable to The Contract Dining Company.

 

 

The Playlunch scheme will be continuing next year.  £1 per child for the whole year would be appreciated in September to help meet the costs of the biscuits. Thank you.
